We are Special Education Teachers and Specialized Service Providers
advocating collaboratively for change & equity in student services across the state of Colorado.
Our Vision: All Specialized Service Providers & Special Educators are protected and empowered to make ethical and professional decisions in a sustainable work environment, so that all students are able to successfully engage with and contribute to their community.
Our Mission: To build Specialized Service Provider and Special Educator capacity, resources, and connection to equitably serve all students, families, and school communities. The Colorado Educators ACCESS Caucus will do this through sharing stories, interests, and resources needed to move towards alignment with professional standards and recommendations through unity, power, and advocacy within the state of Colorado and the Colorado Education Association.
Definitions
UNITY: engagement in a group with diverse representation and common knowledge, goals, and interest that build solidarity
POWER : through a collective strength to be able to accomplish goals
VOICE: Individual SSP and Special Educator voices impact the collective purpose where the decisions are being made
